Accessibility - using Computers

We all like to change our computer to fit our individual preferences. The below links enable those with special needs to do just that.

Windows Personal Computers

Apple-Mac Computers

Orca for Linux Computers

If you need help, with adapting your computer, please ask your Personal Tutor who may refer you to a member of the Learning Support Team. Dr Peter Jepson (Head of Laws) may also be able to assist.

Please note that help on Linux Computers is likely to be limited due to the fact that it is not a core operating system. It is also the case that special need provisions are not as advanced for the Linux operating system as they are for Windows and Apple-Mac.

As per the Special Educational Needs and Disability Act [2001], we are committed to ensuring disabled people, including those with learning difficulties, are treated fairly. All reasonable adjustments to provision in the subject/course will be made to ensure that disabled students are not substantially disadvantaged. Any disclosure of disability will be used to help us ensure that we can support you in your studies.
