Case 1

Adam, an out-of-work actor, sets himself up in business as an acupuncturist although he has no qualifications or experience. He convinces Eve that she would benefit from acupuncture and tells her that he is an expert.

Case 2

Adam, a life-saver, in attempting to rescue Eve from drowning, punches her in the stomach with her consent to disable her from struggling. The punch causes internal injury.
