'Law in the Workplace' ~ Tasks/Assignments for 2009-10

 

Prior to delivery of T1 students should read and précis Part C of the 'Law in the Workplace' booklet. Alternatively, you may read and précis Chapter 35 in GCSE Law by Jacqueline Martin.

 

 

T1a - Discrimination Laws [PowerPoint] or [PdF Print File]

 

T1b - Denied a stairlift - read, précis, and discuss.

T1c - Discrimination Problem - To be undertaken in class.

T1d - Staff not getting minimum wage - read, précis, and discuss.

 

T1e - *iMINDMAP ACTIVITY* Students should produce, for next lesson, a mind map which illustrates the different 'genuine occupational qualifications' where discrimination is allowed in the law - using examples. You should also take an electronic copy of your iMindmap on a pen drive so that you can deliver/explain your MindMap to the class.
