Prior to the delivery of ss15 students read and precis Chapter 11 of 'Criminal Law' by Storey & Lidbury (3rd edition) and 14 of 'Criminal Law for A2' by Jacqueline Martin. Students should also read another text on 'Necessity and Duress' - such as 'Criminal Law' by Diana Roe (3rd edition) for comparison and consolidation purposes. Take your precis notes to class so they can be checked at the start of the lesson.

ss16 - Student delivery of their Special Study PowerPoint Presentations on necessity and/or duress.
ss17 - Working in pairs (small Law Firms) - produce a timeline showing the development of the law - for necessity and duress (in this timeline reflect precedent and relate to the special study materials).
ss18 - Storytelling
ss19 - Produce detailed case notes for all cases on the time-line(s) - show precedent.
ss20 - A detailed and criticial look at the special study materials. Brake up into small Law Firms - each Law Firm to present two of the specials Study items to class.
ss21 - We will give consideration to reform issues and an evaluate the types of examination questions that could arise - for each of the special study sources.
If time permits, we will run a mini-mooting competition making use of the special study materials.
