Timetable for delivery: The aim is to deliver each part of syllabus within a three week cycle. So, for example LC1(i.e. all parts) within a three week teaching cycle. Likewise, LC2 etc etc.

Key Skills Options ... this is optional part of the course since you can do 'Key Skills' in any subject - or in your Tutorials. If you wish to undertake these citizenship tasks, please discuss with your laws teacher at this stage of the course (it cannot be done retrospectively).

KS 3.1a  A Racist Jury Does it matter if a jury could be racist? How could we stop it?   Key Skills 3.1a requires you to contribute to a group discussion about a complex subject.

KS 3.1b - Discuss in class undertaking these exercises.  Key Skills 3.1b requires you to make a presentation about a complex subject, using at least one image to illustrate complex points.

KS 3.2 - Visit www.cjsonline.org - Read and precis this website, handing your notes to the laws Teacher Tutor. Key Skills 3.2 requires you to read and synthesis information from two extended documents about a complex subject. One of the documents should include at least one image to illustrate complex points.

KS 3.3  - Charter 88 - To undertake this key skills exercise you will need to write two different types of documents about complex subjects. One piece of writing should be an extended document and include at least one image. It is suggested that you produce a PowerPoint presentation for delivery to your class mates (possibly with an image incorporated) for Part A and an Essay (with an image) for Part B.
