The Global Village - European Convention on Human Rights: PRIOR to CS40a students should undertake some online research on the ECHR and produce an iMindmap(s) to explain the following:
CS40a - The ECHR: 'What it protects and how it is applied' - Deliver an iMindmap to class. Some of the iMindmaps will be explained to class by students (with questions etc).

CS42a - The Global Village: 'Do human rights stay static? Or, do they change over time (e.g. gender discrimination and sexual orientation issues' - Class discussion (do some research beforehand).

(1) The UK plays a pivotal role in the Global Village; It is a member of the EU, Council of Europe, NATO, G8, IMF etc.
(2) Citizens can/cannot influence political issues that effect the Global Village.
